The best way to create doors (realistic ones) is to use models.

Those are the ones i use as well 
I just collected links here when i had no idea how things work.
I just wonder if there is any practical difference in fps if you use prop frames or brush frames. In merderet there are a lot of static props in the town and they seem to eat away fps quite a lot
