Bertold's Application Empty Bertold's Application

Post by Bertold Bricht Mon Apr 19, 2010 7:35 pm

Hey guys, I think this could be exactly what I was looking for a very, very long time

Due to that I think, we just should meet ingame to get to know each other, i'll just make my introduction at this point easy and fast for me by just answering your questions

What is your in-game nick? It's Bertold Bricht, just as my username here is
How old are you? I am 18
Where are you from? I'm from Paderborn in Germany. As German is my mother language, I still have hope to meet other germans in this game, with who I can do some role-play in-game^^
What is your Steam ID? Due to a messed up windows, I needed to reinstall it and have not installed Steam again - I'll do the next days - and then somebody would need to tell me, where I can see the ID. But If you dont mind, you surely will recognize me as there are not that many players in RnL as you know Wink
Do you have a mic? I did'nt know, RnL could be fun without Smile
Communicate well enough in English? I hope so. I always educate myself in addition to school by watching most of the DVDs I get in this lovely language!
Why do you play RnL? Because, to me, it just feels realistic in rather every detail of its gameplay, making it one of the most intense game experiences for me.
How experienced RnL player are you? I played RnL the first time, when it was about two or three months before the update, in which the MGs came. I always loved it, but somehow, it became too boring to always wait for full servers. And I could always find something else whats fun to do.
The one time, I was in a clan, was in DoD:Source, always enjoyed it, till it fusioned with another clan. I was the one who made most of the tactics, and if the team sticked to it, we won in most cases, as i remember. Of course, DoD is more about skill than about tactic.
Have read the concept of the clan and found it interesting? Of course I did, and I like it. However, I want to see, how it turns out in the game, as I think, democracy is an awesome concept, but it may not fit to difficult war situations, and: It may cut a piece out of the intensity of the game. I would love it, if we could put, i think the best would be 2 players per squad, in charge, so that if they start discussing, the other players can bring their ideas in, too. Maybe, there could also be a special training for these officers, and those, who are interrested in leading a group.
What made you check this team out in the first place? I saw it in the RnL Forums, which I still track, even if I didnt play for a while, and the teams general concept, which was described there.
What would be thingyou would look forward to do the most in the team? I think its rather everything, what could fit to it. Smile
I would enjoy just following pre-mentioned tactics and my officer, or work on these tactics, or work as an officer even (also if the class "officer" should have someone else, I dont like the full auto-rifles in RnL), maybe design a graphic or two, and if i fall in love with the team, you could maybe even ask me to support you in mapping (as i saw the topic in the forums; I oncy tried it, and it worked quite well, but without an important aim in mind it wasnt that easy to keep the motivation^^)

Well, now it finally got rather long... I'm looking forward to test-play some rounds with you!

Sounds good mate.
You can get your steam ID in-game from the console by typing there: status
Or there are websites that convert community ids to steam ids.
I presume ur steamcommunity page is this:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197994105932
so i think ur steam id is : STEAM_0:0:16920102
by using this:
http://www.noobsticks.com/home.php?pageid=lookup
But u should confirm that.

Anyways, we are gonna look into ur application shortly and reply to u asap.

Sounds good =). Just want to point out that things atm are very casual. There are no room for huge engagement in RnL atm, so I doubt we can offer anything more than casual 8on8 sometimes and some more team-play in pub ^^. This far, we've only played one 8on8 kind of. Almost had a 2nd running but the opponent "didn't show up".

When it comes to finding a good way of dealing with RnL tactically, noone knows and cannot know until we've played this game quite a lot, something that wont happen for RnL until beta is released I bet. And that is kind of what I feel this team has it's place. A bunch of people who play together free of obligations, just see where the future takes us Very Happy.

Let me know if you don't understand my point or something Very Happy, and hopefully cu in-game then Very Happy.

Well, Steam's reinstalled, got the beta, and can finally confirm atkins' information about my account:

ID: 16920102

And my community profile (if anyone wants to add me)

Well, as it seems is the beta not running very good on my maschine, but i decided to still want to get a member of this bunch, as i look forward to test the new weapons and stuff tactically.

Hey, and welcome to our project. You are added to "Initiators"-group and you can now access Team Section of the forums and write ur opinions there as well. When you have the time add other team member to your steam friends list.

Enjoy the ride and let's see in-game (when the beta is more playable)...
